Whitey Herzog played eight productive seasons in the Major Leagues but he is best known for his 18 years of work as a manager. His unique style of managing known as Whiteball helped lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a World Series Championship in 1982 and NL Pennants in 1985 and 1987. He also spent time managing the Rangers Angels and Royals.
