The Arizona Cardinals selected University of Virginia running back Thomas Jones seventh overall in the 2000 NFL Draft. Jones spent three years with the Cardinals followed by a season with the Buccaneers and two years with the Bears before a trade after the 2006 season brought him to the New York Jets.
