Firstly, Jim Bouton is a very rare autograph as he seldom signs autographs in public or private. Bouton began his career in Pinstripes with the New York Yankees, and was in the right place at the right time, garnering his first World Series ring in 1962, as the Yankees edged the Giants. Bouton was slated to pitch game seven, but after a rainout, the Yankees switched back to Bill Terry. Bouton chronicled his 1969 season with the Seattle Pilots with a frank, insider's look at a professional sports team, eventually naming his book Ball Four. In his now famous memoir Ball Four Bouton named names and depicted baseball behind the scenes. The book created controversy on all fronts. This Ball is a must have for your collection, and is inscribed “62 WSC”, by Jim himself.
