Darryl Strawberry won the National League Rookie of the Year Award in 1983 by batting .257 smacking 26 home r and driving in 74 r for the New York Mets. Over the course of his 17-year career he crushed 335 home r drove in 1000 r was selected to an amazing eight straight All-Star Games and in 1988 he led the National League in home r with 39. Strawberry won a World Series Championship with the Mets in 1986 and three more with the New York Yankees in 1996 1998 and 1999.
