Former Islander great Ken Morrow is the only player in NHL history to capture an Olympic Gold Medal and the Stanley Cup in the same year. The defenseman played for the 1980 U.S. Miracle on Ice team before joining the Islanders in time for the teams run of four consecutive Stanley Cups. After his 550-game NHL career ended in 1989 Morrow coached in Kansas City IHL for two seasons then served as assistant coach to Al Arbour with the Islanders in 1991-92. The Bowling Green alumnus was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995 and won the Lester Patrick Award in 1996. Ken Morrow has hand signed this 8x10 photograph of him holding up the Stanley Cup after his team won the NHL championship series against the Edmonton Oilers on May 17 1983 at Nassau Coliseum. The Islanders won four straight games to win their fourth straight championship. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
