The 1929 Fighting Irish won the National Championship with an undefeated record of 9-0. It one of six National Championships the Irish would win under Hall of Fame Head Coach Knute Rockne. Rockne is regarded as one of the greatest coaches in college football history and established a winning tradition for Notre Dame football.
